At their meeting on 4 June 2019, the members of the Board of Directors of the French Asset Management Association - Association Française de la Gestion Financière (AFG) - reappointed Eric Pinon as Chairman for a three-year term. Mr Pinon will work closely with Philippe Setbon, whose term as vice-chairman has also been renewed, together with newly-appointed vice-chairman Matthieu Duncan.

The Chairman is as committed as ever to investor education, which is why Philippe Setbon will be placing a particular focus on courses of action relating to savings and responsible investment, while Matthieu Duncan will be spearheading the AFG’s actions in Europe and internationally.

The Board of Directors concurred with the Chairman’s proposals when appointing the members of its Strategic Committee (cf. Annex 1).
At the general meeting, the shareholders approved the Association’s accounts and voted in favour of reappointing the existing members of the Board of Directors (cf. Annex 2).

Eric Pinon commented:

“I thank the members of the Board for their continued support. The AFG has been enjoying newfound momentum in the past two years, focusing on key issues in our industry: boosting our competitiveness, defending our causes more effectively in Brussels and shaping the development of Socially-Responsible Investment around a common label. We still have a lot to do to support the profound changes that are under way in employee and retirement savings: designing solutions that meet the changing needs of investors, developing concrete financial education proposals and propelling the expansion of responsible investment. I know that everyone at the AFG, together with Philippe Setbon and Matthieu Duncan, the Board of Directors and the Strategic Committee, is fully committed to helping us achieve these goals, in France and in Europe, and even the world.”
