Ibrahima Kobar, CIO, Head of Fixed Income & Research

Ibrahima Kobar began his career in 1989 as a statistician in the economic, banking and financial research department at Société Générale. In 1991, he joined Midland Bank where he was an actuary/fixed income manager. Ibrahima joined IXIS Asset Management in 1994 as an insurance portfolio manager in the bond management department. In 1998, he was appointed Head of Insurance Management, and Derivatives and Structured Products management. In 2007, he became head of Bond portfolio management and a member of the Executive Committee. In 2010, he was appointed Head of Fixed Income portfolio management at Ostrum Asset Management.
In 2012, he became co-CIO at Ostrum Asset Management, in charge of Fixed Income. In 2017, he was appointed Deputy CEO, in charge of Fixed Income portfolio management. He has been CIO, Head of Fixed Income & Research at Ostrum Asset Management since 2022.

Ibrahima Kobar is an actuary with a degree from Institut de Statistiques de Paris (ISUP) and is a member of Institut des Actuaires Français (IAF). He is also Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
